Paramore win Video Music Award nomination
MTV have announced that Paramore have been nominated for a Video Music Award.
The band are up for Best Rock Video for their song Ignorance, from the album Brand New Eyes.
Upon hearing the news, lead singer Hayley Williams wrote on Twitter: "Ohhhh my gahhh! Thank you so much everybody! We are so excited!"
However, they will be up against some stiff competition with the likes of 30 Seconds to Mars, Muse, MGMT and Florence and the Machine also in their category.
Other acts to be named in the nominations include Lady Gaga, who is up for a record 13 awards, and Eminem who will compete in eight categories.
Williams is also up for several other awards for her part in the song Airplanes by BoB, which is up for four prizes.
Paramore play this years Reading and Leeds Festtivals, which start at the end of August, and go on a UK tour later in the year.
