Paramore's Hayley Williams: I felt like a loser in my own band
Hayley Williams, the lead singer of Paramore, has revealed how close the band came to splitting up.
In an interview with the Daily Record, Williams said that the band found the road to success tough and it nearly tore them apart.
She put the band's difficulties down to being overworked and a change in their relationship from friends to "business partners".
"It sucked and I felt like a loser in my own band," she said.
Things are better now, says Williams. In a recent post on Paramore's website, she wrote that she "loved" being on tour and that so far the shows the band have played have been the most exciting in five or six years.
But, she admitted in the Daily Record interview, there was time when things were so bad she did not know if it could continue.
"Maybe there were moments where it felt like it would be easier to just give it up," Williams said.
Paramore will be coming to the UK for a series of gigs in December starting at the SECC in Glasgow on December 10th.
