Paul Merton tour kicks off
The new Paul Merton tour of the UK officially kicked off this Monday (March 19th) after four previews at Work in Progress at London's Pleasance.
His first gig of the series was at Liverpool's Empire and he performed at Llandudno's Venue Cymru last night.
The comedian, who is a long-time star of television panel show Have I Got News For You, will next take the stage at Eastbourne's Congress Theatre on March 23rd.
His 50-date tour will stop at intimate venues across the UK including Salford's Lowry Theatre, the New Wimbledon Theatre in London and the Cambridge Stock Exchange.
Paul Merton tickets are currently on sale and fans may still be able to pick some up for their hometown.
The tour - called Out of My Head - also features some of the star's "impro chums" Lee Simpson, Richard Vranch and Suki Webster.
"Discover the bizarre working of Paul Merton's brain, as he muses on the mighty behemoth that is his noggin," promoter Just for Laughs stated.
"A night of sketches, music, magic, variety and dancing girls (two of them aren't girls)," it added.
Fans who share Paul Merton's love of silent films could catch the celebrity onstage at the Bristol Silents Slapstick Festival, which he has presented for five years at the city's Colston Hall.
