Pearl Jam website hit by ticket sale problems
Fans attempting to get hold of Pearl Jam tickets for the band's forthcoming tour have experienced problems.
A pre-sale for shows taking place across Europe in 2012 opened to members of Pearl Jam's Ten Club earlier this week, but some have experienced difficulty in completing their order.
Operators of the band's fan club responded by taking presales offline and many buyers were left disappointed, with one stating on the Pearl Jam website they added tickets to their shopping cart and proceeded to the checkout, only to find the tickets had been removed, noting this happened "too many times to mention".
Ten Club experienced a similar failure earlier in the year, prompting it to switch to a new service rather than continuing with an internal ticketing system.
It said the similarities between that and the most recent problem led it to believe "there has been an act of sabotage from an outside source".
The forthcoming Pearl Jam tour 2012 sees the band play shows in Manchester and at the Isle of Wight Festival, in addition to dates around Europe.
