Pet Shop Boys sing Coldplay for Christmas
Fans of the Pet Shop Boys will be treated to an early Christmas present next week when the group releases a digital EP of synthetic holiday cheer.
The Pet Shop Boys are working on a medley of Coldplay's hit Viva la Vida and the Boys' classic Domino Dancing for the new album, entitled Christmas.
The digital EP will also come with a version of It Doesn't Often Snow at Christmas, which was originally recorded in 1997 as an exclusive holiday single for members of the Pet Shop Boys fan club.
Two versions of the Madness classic, My Girl, also made the track list along with a new version of All Over the World from the Pet Shop Boys' newest album Yes.
The synth pop group was recently nominated for a 2010 Grammy Award in the "Best Electronic/Dance Album" category for Yes.
According to the duo's website, Christmas will be released across Europe on December 11th, with UK downloads starting December 13th and the CD available on December 14th.
Pet Shop Boys' 2009 UK tour starts on December 17th at the Glasgow SECC and finishes at London's O2 Arena on the 21st.
