Pet Shop Boys want Glasto gig
The Pet Shop Boys have said that they would be keen to play the 40th anniversary of Glastonbury next year.
Speaking on BBC Radio 6, the band said they would like to return to Glastonbury having played there only once before in 2000.
"We played the main stage at nine thirty on Saturday night, and it was an amazing experience," said singer Neil Tennant.
The duo also raised the possibility of a special guest appearing with them if they were to play.
"A good song for us to do with people is 'What Have I Done to Deserve This' as sadly Dusty Springfield isn't around anymore," said Tennant.
Lady Gaga and Melissa Etheridge have performed the song with the band before as has Cerys Matthews who joined the boys the last time they did Glastonbury.
Despite 25 years of producing records, Tennant denied the Pet Shop Boys have any plans to call it a day.
"We might wake up one morning and think 'that's it.' But I think when you've got a lot of creative energy you want to carry on," he said.
Pet Shop Boys are playing four UK gigs this December in Glasgow, Manchester Birmingham and London. Tickets are available now.
