Pete Doherty promises memorable performance at Reading and Leeds
Those with tickets to this year's Reading and Leeds festivals have been promised a gig to remember by Pete Doherty.
Doherty will be performing with his band The Libertines at Reading and Leeds this August.
The group split up in 2004 but reformed this year and will perform at the festivals for the first time since getting back together.
This weekend, Doherty played a solo performance at Hop Farm Festival in Paddock Wood, Kent.
Following the concert, he told the Daily Star: "This is definitely one of my best gigs for ages. It's just a taster of what's to come at Reading and Leeds."
Also on the bill at Hop Farm was legendary folk singer Bob Dylan, aged 69, as well as another music veteran – 64-year-old Van Morrison.
Other bands playing Reading and Leeds Festivals this year, which take place from August 27th-29th, include Blink 182 and Arcade Fire.
