Peter Kay announces extra Manchester dates
Comedian Peter Kay will be playing five extra shows in Manchester, he has announced.
It is the latest in a long line of extensions to his 2010 UK tour following phenomenal public demand.
Originally, the Bolton funny-man was due to play four Manchester gigs. He then extended this to a record-breaking 20 show residency and dubbed it the Tour that Doesn't Tour.
However, the tour then did actually go on tour with a series of dates across the country being announced.
Now Kay will play four more dates at Manchester's MEN Arena after the 200,000 tickets for the original gigs sold out in just one morning.
The Phoenix Nights star recently thanked his fans for their support since he announced his return to live stand-up.
Kay wrote on his website: "I'd just like to say thank you to everyone who's bought tickets (or tried to buy them) over the last few weeks. The response to my returning to stand-up has been completely overwhelming."
Peter Kay's first show at the MEN Arena in Manchester is on April 27th 2010. tickets are still available on www.viagogo.co.uk
