Pink: 'I wanted to get all the famous people wet'
Tuesday, 09 February 2010

Pink stole the show at this year's Grammys in Los Angeles on January 31st with an acrobatic performance of her song Glitter in the Air.
And now the star has revealed the inspiration for the performance came from a desire to soak all the other celebrities in the audience.
The Funhouse singer wowed spectators at the ceremony when she was whisked into the air by a set of white sheets, wearing nothing but a see-through body suit and a few straps and well-placed patches of glitter.
She then performed a series of twists and turns as she carried on singing. The performance reached a crescendo when a jet of water came down on the singer from above and sprayed off her in every direction.
During a recent interview with Oprah Winfrey, Pink said: "I've always seen dancers do that behind the singer but I'd never seen the singer do it. I was like, 'Well, why can't I do it and sing?' And I wanted to get all the famous people wet."
Pink will be touring the UK in the summer, starting at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland on June 11th.
