Pink forced to quit trapeze act
Pop star Pink has revealed she has been forced to quit the trapeze act she performed at the MTV Video Music Awards.
The singer said that she had separated her shoulders the night before she started her US Funhouse tour and so was unable to do the stunt.
Because of her injury, she can now only perform the routine with the aid of pain killers.
Pink told Women's Health magazine: "It took everything in me to get through those shows. I was in so much pain... It was the first time I ever took a pain pill onstage."
She considered getting back on the trapeze one last time for her hometown show in Philadelphia but decided against the risk.
"The last thing I want is for two, five, ten years from now, not to be able to pick up my child because I was stubborn," she explained.
Pink will be touring the UK next summer, starting at the Reebok Stadium in Lostock on June 12th.
She will also be playing at the Wireless Festival in London's Hyde Park on July 2nd.
