Queens of the Stone Age tour: Relistening to music 'vital', says Josh Homme
Today (February 25th) sees Queen of the Stone Age tickets go on sale to the band's new UK tour.
It will see the rock legends play track from their 1998 self-titled debut album, which they are re-releasing this year.
Commenting on the tour, lead singer Josh Homme revealed that he believes revisiting old music can be just as important as creating new material.
"I'm not too nostalgic - I don't really give a s**t about the future. I can't change the past and there's so much cool stuff to do now. But at the same time, I think relistening to music is just as vital as releasing new music," he told stuff.co.nz.
"That first record is really special to me because, well not to be too obvious, but it's where it all started. And it's so cool. It's kind of sparse and deliberate and we're playing the whole record exactly the way it was."
The UK tour starts at Roundhouse in London on May 17th.
