Radiohead to tour with Other Lives in the US
Oklahoma band Other Lives will be travelling the US as part of the Radiohead tour when they play the role of support band to the Brits later this year.
Frontman of the Stillwater group Jesse Tabish spoke to Tulsa World about the forthcoming series of gigs and how his outfit came to be chosen to open for the Oxford five-piece.
He explained Other Lives visited England to play some shows last year and met Radiohead at one of their performances.
"As we got on stage I looked out and saw Thom Yorke and Jonny (Greenwood) and my heart just flipped," stated the musician, who plays piano, guitar and percussion in his band as well as being the main vocalist.
The gig was at Oxford's Jericho Tavern and that night Mr Tabish and his band mates Josh Onstott, Colby Owens, Jenny Hsu and Jon Mooney got to meet Radiohead face to face when they came backstage.
"I was so excited. It was surreal and they were very kind people," he stated, adding he was back in the US when he was contacted by the group and asked to support them on their tour of the states.
Radiohead tickets are on sale for the 11 gigs the two outfits will play in the country in February, March and April.
