Rammstein fan Billy Bailey credits German band as major influence
Bill Bailey looks set to be among the thousands of Britons snapping up Rammstein tickets, with the comedian having cited the German metal band as one of his biggest influences.
the funnyman says that, as well as classical music, he draws on a range of groups when writing his own compositions.
Indeed, in a new interview with the Metro newspaper, Bailey says that there is now a Rammstein "element" creeping into his work, with this injecting some real "anger" into his comedic compositions.
At the same time, he also said that, while he isn't totally turned off by contemporary culture, he believes that there is a "lot of chaff" currently on the radio or in the charts.
Rammstein tickets are expected to sell out for all of their UK dates, with the metallers taking to the road to promote their greatest hits compilation Made in Germany.
