Rihanna blasts Kenneth Tong for promoting anorexia
Ahead of the upcoming Rihanna tour, the singer has launched an attack on former Big Brother contestant Kenneth Tong on Twitter.
The 25-year-old, who starred in series ten of the reality TV show, has caused controversy after tweeting messages apparently promoting anorexia.
Tong announced that he is launching his own diet pills and wanted to promote "managed anorexia".
A number of pop stars, including Rihanna, Rochelle Wiseman of The Saturdays and Alexandra Burke have spoken out against his comments.
Tong said: "Thankful for this global opportunity to help girls all over the world know that to be skinny is to be perfect & to be fat is unacceptable."
Rihanna replied saying: "This is exactly why girls are doing everything to destroy their bodies! Girls are dying all over the world because of ignorant individuals like this!"
She later added: "Young ladies, love yourself! Your skin, your booty, your hair... You're all beautiful! Keep your hearts pure! Love and laugh, and live life."
Rihanna is set to tour the UK later this year, kicking things off at the Odyssey in Belfast on September 30th.
