Robshaw confirmed as England's Six Nations captain
Chris Robshaw has been confirmed as a captain for the England Scotland rugby match that will open the Six Nations this weekend.
The Harlequins player was chosen by interim head coach Stuart Lancaster, fulfilling the predictions of the tournament's official website.
However, the coach said recently he would not be picking one captain for the entire tournament, preferring to have a selection of people that could potentially take the position on when selected.
"We have a strong leadership group," Lancaster said. "Chris is a key member of that group and has shown with Harlequins and when I have worked with him in the Saxons that he can lead a team tactically and passionately."
The match against Scotland will be held on Saturday (February 4th) at Murrayfield and will be followed the next day by an Ireland Wales rugby game at Dublin's Aviva Stadium.
Other teams playing as part of the Six Nations Championships at the weekend include France and Italy, who will go head to head in the first event of the tournament.
