Roger Waters 'happier not to be in a band'
With a Roger Waters tour of the UK scheduled for later this year, the rock legend has revealed he is happier to be performing solo than with a band.
The former Pink Floyd member said that he enjoys working by himself because he likes to be in control, something which can lead to problems when in a band.
Speaking to the Financial Times, Waters said: “Sometimes it becomes problematic if you have a thing called a 'group' and one person is controlling it because he's doing all the work.
"I'm much happier now because I'm not pretending to work in a group. That's not to say I don't work with a group of people."
However, Waters recently confirmed that former Pink Floyd bandmate David Gilmour will make a guest appearance at one of the shows on his upcoming tour, though he did not reveal on which date.
Roger Waters begins the UK leg of his world tour at the O2 Arena in London on May 11th.
