Roger Waters tour: Rock star admits to being a frequent crier

Roger Waters starts a UK tour next month

With the Roger Waters tour of the UK getting underway next month, the music legend has admitted he still bears the emotional scars of his tough upbringing.

The former Pink Floyd star, whose dad died when he was a baby, has said that a lack of the father figure has left him emotionally sensitive.

And, speaking to the Sunday Times Magazine, he confessed that he often cries at the slightest emotional stress.

"I hate anger in women, I've never known how to deal with it. The way I have always dealt with it was by crying, and I think women hate that," he said.

"I have cried an enormous amount in my life. Under any kind of emotional stress I would burst into tears - in fights with the band, in fights with women, I would just weep. I'm being honest. I am not what people think."

Roger Waters begins a UK tour at the O2 in London on May 11th.
