Ross Brawn eyes Monaco Grand Prix success

The Monaco Grand Prix takes place this weekend

Mercedes team principal Ross Brawn is hoping his team will impress ticket holders to the upcoming Monaco Formula One Grand Prix.

Last year, the then head of Brawn GP saw his drivers score a one-two victory on the famous street circuit.

And Brawn believes that such success could be achieved again this year, despite Mercedes being off the pace of rival teams so far this season.

"Together with Mercedes-Benz, we achieved the dream result of a one-two finish last year, and whilst we are not at the pace of the frontrunners at the moment, at Monaco you just never know what can happen," he said.

Brawn praised the precision, consistency, speed and control of his drivers, Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher, saying these are all qualities needed to win at Monaco.

Qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix begins on Saturday (May 15th), with the race taking place the following day.
