'Saturday is a final', says Ireland coach
Ticket holders to Ireland's upcoming Six Nations clash with Scotland should be expecting a passionate display after Declan Kidney demanded his players treat it like a final.
The Ireland coach has said his side will put any thoughts of an unlikely tournament victory to one side and concentrate on beating Scotland.
"For us Saturday is a final," said Kidney. "We're playing Scotland next week in a one-off Test match which we see as a final.
"The Scots are known for ruining Irish parties and they'll want to do that once more.
"The great thing about the Six Nations is that no two games are ever alike and they all present different challenges."
Should Ireland emerge victorious from the match, they will have won the Triple Crown having also defeated England and Wales.
It is also possible they can claim the championship should England beat France in Paris.
Ireland take on Scotland at Croke Park in Dublin on Saturday March 20th.
