Schumacher needs a 'clean race' in Chinese Grand Prix, says Brawn
Michael Schumacher needs a "clean Race" at this weekend's Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai to get his season back on track.
That is the opinion of Mercedes GP team principal Ross Brawn, who has backed the German driver despite a poor start to the season.
Schumacher has failed to live up to expectations after the seven-time world champion got back behind the wheel of an F1 car in a competitive race for the first time in three years this season.
He has only managed nine points from the first three races of the season, but Brawn maintains this is partly due to bad luck after Schumacher suffered a collision in Australia and was forced to retire in Malaysia.
"Circumstances beyond his control limited his race performance in Melbourne and Sepang," said Brawn.
"It would be particularly good for Michael to be able to have a clean race and show the progress he has made since the start of the season."
The Chinese Grand Prix gets underway on Sunday, April 18th.
