South Africa will be on form for Rugby World Cup, former player says
Home Nations fans with Rugby World Cup tickets have been given an early warning that South Africa will be going into the tournament hungry for success and on top of their game.
Though the 2011 World Cup is not set to kick-off until October, already the world's media is picking its favourites, not least in the home of the reigning champions.
Just this week, former Springbok winger Breyton Paulse expressed his confidence that, despite a recent poor run of form, the South Africa side will 'raise their game' in time for the showpiece event, potentially spelling good news for England fans lucky enough to bag Rugby World Cup tickets.
"It almost comes naturally for some of the guys, so I have no doubt come World Cup time, the boys will be fired up and will want to prove a point," the ex-pro told the country's Business Day publication.
Meanwhile, England's Rugby Football Union head Martyn Thomas has said Martin Johnson will be welcome to stay in the role of national team manager regardless of how the side fare in the tournament.
