Stone Roses return excites rapper

Up-and-coming rapper Wretch 32 is one artist that may be clamouring to get his hands on Stone Roses tickets for the band's forthcoming reunion tour.

The Manchester quartet has reformed for a tour and a string of festival appearances and the London-based artist told NME he is looking forward to their return.

"I'm excited about them coming back and it's definitely a massive look for music," he remarked.

Ian Brown, John Squire, Reni and Mani will play a trio of hometown shows at Heaton Park, before headlining T in the Park and V Festival, as well as playing gigs overseas.

Their reunion "shows there's something there for artists that create a legacy", Wretch 32 told the music magazine, adding that he would also like collaborate with Coldplay at some point in the future.

The Stone Roses tour gets underway at Heaton Park on June 29th, with shows also taking place at the venue on June 30th and July 1st. The third date was added as a result of exceptional demand from fans desperate to see the band play live for the first time since splitting in 1996.
