Strictly Come Dancing Sunday show to return?
Strictly Come Dancing could return to its original two-show format with a results show on a Sunday, the BBC has said.
However, this will only happen if the extra cost of running another show can be covered, the Sun has reported.
Strictly used to be shown in two parts, with the results screened later on Saturday evening. In 2008 it changed to a Saturday and Sunday show before changing again in 2009 to become one two-and-a-half hour programme.
But after viewers complained about the length and following the success of X Factor's two show format last year, the BBC are considering changing the schedule once again.
Unlike last time though, if the Sunday show did come back it would be live this time.
A source at the BBC told the newspaper. "We really want to take Strictly back to a Sunday night, but we would have to do it live and that takes more money, which is pretty tight at the moment."
Strictly Come Dancing goes on a live tour later this month, starting at Manchester's MEN Arena on January 15th.
