Strictly Come Dancing live tour star gets One Show gig
Matt Baker, one of the stars of the upcoming Strictly Come Dancing live tour, is to be the new full-time presenter of BBC's The One Show.
The former Blue Peter and current Countryfile host is to take over from Jason Manford to partner co-host Alex Jones on the show.
According to the Daily Mirror, Baker has been offered a contract thought to be worth £200,000 and is expected to accept later this week.
It follows his recent stint on Strictly that saw him finish runner up after narrowly losing out to Kara Tointon.
Baker will now be taking part in the upcoming Strictly Come Dancing live tour with a host of other celebrities.
A source told the news provider: "Before he signs, the things important to him are to continue working on Countryfile and to go on the Strictly tour next year.
"It looks like he will be able to do both those things and present The One Show, so he's happy."
