The Libertines announce Leeds and Reading Festival warm-up gig
Those with tickets to see The Libertines at this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals will be assured the newly assured the band has got in some practice first.
The newly-reformed group have announced they are to play an intimate London gig at the Forum in Kentish town in preparation for their festival performances.
It will be the first time the foursome has played together in public since they split in 2004, frontman Carl Barat told BBC Newsbeat.
"It's always a bit last minute with The Libertines. If we did it any other way it wouldn't be The Libertines," he told the news provider.
A date for the Forum show is yet to be announced but Barat revealed the band will spend a number of days rehearsing at the venue prior to the gig.
"We've got a bit of time blocked out," he said. "As I say it's a bit last minute - it always is. Of course we'll be able to do it and we'll be able to do it with aplomb."
Other bands performing at Reading and Leeds, which takes place on the last weekend of August, include Blink 182 and Arcade Fire.
