The Script looking forward to Liverpool gig
Irish band The Script have said they are looking forward to entertaining ticket holders at their upcoming Liverpool gig.
The band kicks off a UK tour in the city this September and they have revealed that the choice of Liverpool as the starting point for the tour comes from a shared love of the city.
"Liverpool is the first date of our tour, because that's the one city that everyone loves - the band, management, crew, everybody," said guitarist Mark Sheehan.
"We have a Scouse tour manager and he always takes us out to the best places. It's a great city, the people are friendly, the drinks are cheap. It's our kind of city."
The Dublinners also revealed that meeting Liverpudlian hero Paul McCartney has been one of the highlights of their musical careers so far.
"We're all massive Beatles fans so we were too scared to actually speak to him," said Sheeham.
The Script's UK tour gets underway on September 11th at Liverpool University.
