The Stone Roses and The Killers head V Festival line-up
The Stone Roses and The Killers have been announced as headliners of this year's V Festival line-up.
Also near the top of the bill are Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and Snow Patrol.
The event will take place on August 18th and August 19th in Weston Park in Staffordshire and in Hylands Park in Chelmsford and the line-up was officially confirmed yesterday (February 26th).
Other big names taking to the stage include Nicki Minaj, Tinie Tempah, Ed Sheeran, Example, Tom Jones, Keane, Madness, Emeli Sande and Olly Murs.
Joining the recently reformed The Stone Roses on the bill will be another Madchester band that have got back together - Happy Mondays - which could attract fans of the 90s movement to the concert.
V Festival 2012 tickets will become available on Friday (March 2nd) and with a line-up including so many award-winning stars, music lovers may need to make sure they are ready to purchase passes as soon as possible after they are released at 10:00 GMT.
The confirmed list of bands shows the speculation published on the efestivals website recently was close to the truth, with the page correctly suggesting Professor Green, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, The Stone Roses, Tom Jones and Snow Patrol could be at the event.
