The Stone Roses could release new material in 2013

A 2013 The Stone Roses tour could be on the cards as the iconic band continues their triumphant comeback.

Earlier in the week, the reunited four-piece played a secret gig in Hoxton to a star-studded audience and it has been reported that the group will try and record some new material in the new year.

Since returning earlier in 2012, The Stone Roses have played gigs around Europe including three massive homecoming shows at Heaton Park in Manchester, as well as a string of festival dates.

The Stone Roses tickets are still available for their appearance at this year's V Festival on the weekend of August 18th and 19th and fans can expect a hit-filled setlist, including songs such as Sally Cinnamon, She Bangs the Drums, Fools Gold, Waterfall, Ten Storey Love Song and I Wanna Be Adored.

Considered as one of the greatest British bands of the last two decades, The Stone Roses released two albums before disbanding in 1996.
