The Weeknd to play one-off London show

A one-off The Weeknd concert has been arranged in London this summer.

This will be the first time the R&B producer has performed in the UK and he will take to the stage at Wilton Hall on June 7th.

The Canadian artist, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, first started attracting attention in 2010, although originally his identity was unknown.

People who are new to his music can download three mixtapes on his website - Echoes of Silence, Thursday and House of Balloons - all of which were released last year.

House of Balloons received huge critical acclaim and was nominated for the Polaris Music Prize.

Alternatively, R&B-lovers may recognise him from the Drake track Crew Love, which features on his second album Take Care.

Fans may want to get their The Weeknd tickets now, as this is sure to be a popular event.

He will also be appearing at this year's Wireless Festival, which takes place in Hyde Park between July 6th and 8th.
