Those with Reading and Leeds Festival tickets to see Strokes performance?
Strokes fans could be among those after Reading Festival tickets and Leeds Festival tickets following rumours the band are to headline the twin events.
According to the Sun, the band are eager to play the festivals after recording a new album.
A source told the news provider: "It's no surprise that Reading and Leeds bosses want The Strokes to be the big headliner in 2011, given their reputation as a live act."
It follows the recent news that the New York outfit, who have not released a record in close to five years, have now finished recording their fourth studio album.
The Reading and Leeds Festivals, as one of the biggest rock events on the UK calendar, could be a great place to showcase their new material.
Some of the big name acts to play at this year's festivals included the likes of Guns n Roses, Arcade Fire and Blink 182.
Tickets for the 2011 Reading and Leeds Festivals go on sale today (December 3rd).
