Those with Rihanna tickets to see record breaker
Ahead of the upcoming Rihanna tour of the UK, the singer's popularity in the country has reached new heights with the star breaking a chart record.
Rihanna's latest single What's My Name was announced as the official UK number one yesterday (January 9th) meaning she has become the first female solo artist in chart history to achieve top singles in five consecutive years.
Her first chart success was Umbrella, which went to number one in 2007.
This was followed by 2008's Take a Bow while 2009 saw Rihanna score another number one hit with Run This Town.
Last year, the Barbadian pop star went to the top of the UK charts with Only Girl (In the World).
The only other solo artist to equal the achievement was Elvis Presley in the 1950s.
Rihanna is set to tour the UK later this year, kicking things off at the Odyssey in Belfast on September 30th.
