Tom Petty plans festival warm-up shows
A small Tom Petty tour is set to take place this summer as the singer and his band the Heartbreakers warm up for their headline slot at the Isle of Wight Festival.
He will play London's Royal Albert Hall on June 20th, two days before taking to the stage on the Isle of Wight as part of a bill that also features Pearl Jam and Bruce Springsteen.
Prior to the show in the capital, Petty and his band will perform at Dublin's O2 Arena and Love at the Marquee in Cork on June 7th and 8th respectively.
The shows are part of a wider European tour that is the band's first for two decades, so demand for Tom Petty tickets is likely to be strong from fans who have waited years to see the singer live.
Mojo - the band's first studio album for eight years - was released in 2010 and the setlist list is likely to feature tracks off the newest release, as well as songs from their extensive back catalogue.
