Travis Barker confirms new Blink 182 album
Reading and Leeds Festival headliners Blink 182 are working on a new album, it has been confirmed.
Earlier this year, bassist Mark Hoppus promised on his blog that new music from the band was on the way.
Now drummer Travis Barker has confirmed that the pop-punk trio are indeed recording a new album to be released this year.
Speaking to MTV News on the set of the video for his new solo single Carry It, Barker said: "We are in rehearsals - what will soon be production rehearsals - for our European tour, and that's exciting," he said.
"[The new record] is gonna be [out] next year, so we're gonna start on it right when we get home [from tour.]"
It will be the band's sixth studio album and follows their recent reformation after they announced an "indefinite hiatus" in 2005.
Blink 182 headline the main stage at this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals, which take place on the last weekend of August.
