Van Halen album available for pre-order
People looking forward to the recently announced Van Halen tour may excited to hear they can now pre-order the band's latest album.
The group confirmed their reunion over the festive period, saying they would play live shows with original singer David Lee Roth this year and release new tracks.
On New Year's Eve, a large image of the cover the LP was shown on an LED billboard in New York's Times Square, meaning it was broadcast by many television channels covering the celebrations that night.
The image, which depicts a train going emerging through a circle, featured a Van Halen logo in one corner and the date 02.07.12, which it has now been confirmed is the release date of the record A Different Kind of Truth, written in US format.
People who pre-order will receive the Deluxe mp3 Edition, which includes four videos of acoustic performances and a recording of The Downtown Sessions.
However, fans who wish to purchase the album on vinyl can only get their hands on the product in the US and Canada and will have to wait until February 24th for it to be shipped.
Van Halen tour dates 2012 were also recently announced, with the first gig kicking off in Louisville Kentucky on February 18th.
