Vettel aims for title despite errors
Sebastian Vettel has said he is still focussed on winning this year's Formula One world championship despite a recent string of errors on the track.
The Red Bull driver has received criticism from several quarters in the sport following his crash with Jenson Button at the recent Belgian Grand Prix.
His detractors have claimed that the young German is too accident-prone to be a contender for this year's title.
Speaking to Auto Bild Motorsport, the 23-year-old admitted he has made mistakes but remains confident.
"In Hungary I slept during the safety car and made a mistake, and again when I lost the car when overtaking Jenson," he said.
"But I am open and honest enough to admit that. I'm not proud of it. I do not worry about me. I know how good we are, but I want the title like nothing else this year."
The next race in this season's F1 calendar is the Italian Grand Prix at Monza on September 12th.
