Wales hopes for better fitness before Ireland game
Who will take to the field for the Ireland Wales rugby match this weekend is still up in the air as players struggle to overcome recent injuries.
Coach of the Welsh team Warren Gatland said it is uncertain whether Dan Lydiate, Jamie Roberts and Rhys Priestland will be fit enough to take part.
The side recently went to the Polish city of Gdansk to train and the three players, who are all recovering from recent injuries, did not participate in all the activities, he revealed.
"Dan and Rhys probably did about two or three sessions but they were just limited to skills, the next 48 hours is pretty critical and we are waiting to see how they are," Gatland commented.
He added Roberts, who is being held back by problems with his knee, was more active at the training camp, but this is not a guarantee he will be able to play against Ireland on Sunday (February 5th).
The game is the first of the Six Nations Championships for Wales and follows an England Scotland rugby match at Murrayfield on Saturday.
