Webber could be on his way out of Formula One, says Hamilton
Those with tickets to the current Formula One season may among the last fans to see driver Mark Webber compete in the sport, Lewis Hamilton has claimed.
According to the McLaren ace, the Australian may be thinking of retiring at the end of the 2010 championship, especially if it proves to be a successful campaign.
The 33-year-old got off to an average start in Bahrain on the opening weekend of the season, bringing his Red Bull in for an eighth place finish.
But Hamilton believes he will have a good chance of finishing a lot higher up in front of his home fans at this weekend's Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.
"I don't know how long he (Webber) plans to stay in Formula One but I get the sense that it's one of the years he wants to finish on top and perhaps call it a day,'' Hamilton said.
"He has the best chance to end on that high this year and I wouldn't be surprised if he is considering it.''
Qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix begins on Saturday, March 27th with the race itself getting underway the following day.
