Will Young apologises for The Long and Winding Road cover
Will Young has admitted that he did not do a good job of covering the Beatles' song, The Long and Winding Road.
The song, which appeared on his first album, was a duet with his Pop Idol rival Gareth Gates.
Speaking to the Independent, Will said that he apologised to Paul McCartney for the bad job he did.
He said: "I was like, 'I'm so sorry. I
murdered that song'."
Will has steered clear of covers since his debut album although he did sing Outkast's Hey Ya for the Radio 1 Live Lounge.
The Pop Idol winner is due to play a number of dates across the UK as part of a tour of his greatest hits album.
Kicking off at Belfast's Waterfront Hall on November 9th, he will take in a number of locations across the UK, including Glasgow's Clyde Auditorium on November 12th and London's Hammersmith Apollo on November 20th and 21st.
