Wimbledon's Court One could get a roof
The risk of matches being postponed due to bad weather could be reduced for tennis fans with Wimbledon tickets in future, as there is a chance that a roof could be built on Court One.
A retractable cover has already been installed on Centre Court, meaning the venue is still capable of hosting big matches during bad weather.
The roof has been particularly important this year, allowing the men's and women's singles tournaments to remain on schedule despite periods of heavy rain.
While there are no immediate plans to upgrade Court One, a spokesman for the All England Club told the Guardian that the prospect of a roof being installed will be "up for discussion".
Club chairman Philip Brook said: "A roof for Court One cannot be ruled in but neither can it be ruled out."
Britain's number one Andy Murray will be playing Feliciano Lopez of Spain at the quarter-final stage of Wimbledon 2011 on Centre Court today (June 29th).
